Biography

51 years of age. An American trained Engineer graduated from University of Portland, Oregon, USA in Mechanical Engineering (1987) Obtained Bachelor Degree in Applied Physics and minor in Mathematic from Linfield College, McMinnville, Oregon, USA (1985) Obtained Post Graduate in Business Administration from University of Leicester, UK (2010) Started working in 1987 as an R&D Engineer at Astec (M) Sdn Bhd in designing computer power supply metal casing. In 1990, worked as a Terminal Supervisor in Mobil Oil Corporation. In that year, Mobil Oil was a Top 10 company in Fortune 500. In 1993, joined Technology Park Malaysia as its first Incubator Manager to nurture fledgling start up technology companies. In 1996, joined Polymal Corporation Sdn Bhd as an Assistant Plant Manager. The company was the largest plastic extrusion company in South East Asia. Later rose as a Plant Manager, Assistant General Manager and eventually General Manager. In 2001, was appointed as an Executive Director. In 2008 orchestrated a MBO to purchase majority shares of the company renamed it as Polymal Sdn Bhd. In 2010, successfully developed a processing system and a Catalyst to convert Plastics to Diesel Oil and later spin-off the R&D unit into Syngas Sdn Bhd. In January 2014 was awarded Patent Rights and patented in 60 countries worldwide. In late 2014 was awarded the National Innovation Award by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
